Acupuncture Massage according to Penzel (APM)

APM is one of the oldest European Meridian Therapies with its roots to the traditional Chinese medicine and original acupuncture therapy. This therapy was developed in the 1950's and 1960's in Germany by a Massage therapist named Willy Penzel. Since 1971, APM is taught in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

APM is a regulation therapy with its base is the Chinese energy-science. The massage is treating the areas along the meridians which shows energy deficit. Hereafter can be stimulated the acupunctural points as well. The special nursing of the scars and the energetic treatment of the spinal column is a part of the handlings as well.

The illness is the disorder of the energy flow.

All organisations get its life-energy base in the uterine. The level of this life-energy is feed by the food took up, the breathing, light and joyful experiences. The "old" Chinese call the life-energy for YIN and YANG. YIN is feminine, planetary, negative, humid, cold and in average nutrition. YANG is masculine, cosmic, positive, hot, bright and in average air and light. Both of them are very important. In a healthy organisation these are in dynamic harmony and flowing balance. The energy needs passage system for the circulation. These are the meridians. We do different the YIN and YANG meridians. It goes down on the external side of the leg to the feet and the toes. Here the circuit closes. Two superiority passages supply the centreline of the body with energy. These are the Receiver and the Governing.

The meridians

The being of the meridians was provided by measures 20 years ago. Dr. Jean-Claude Darras injected radioactive stuff to the acupunctural points (Te 99, Th 201, Xe 133, HG2c 1197). And with this method he could confirm the way of the meridians.

There is about constant amount of energy in our body. This flows balanced in the organ. When there is a mistake in the flow of the energy, the rate of YIN and YANG changes. The Acupuncture Massage according to Penzel uses refilling stimulus on place of the energy deficit so before every treatment an energetic sate measurement should be take - independent by the diagnosis of the doctor. The easiest method for this is the so called "trying pull". We use a soft push as refilling stimulus on the Receiver line from the pubis to the navel. This "trying pull" causes a little energy-transport form the YANG area to the YIN area. Every pain (independent from its area) which gets ease by the "trying pull" needs the treatment of the YIN area. According to this the pain-areas which get worse by the "trying pull" need the treatment of the YANG areas.

We refill every meridian which shows energy deficit from the beginning till the end during a basic treatment.
